running powerheads?

what is the preferance of running power heads 24/7 or do people turn them off over night?

Same here, but there was a similar thread here a week ago or so and there were folks who turned off their powerheads overnight.

Never heard of anyone turning off PHs. In my FOWRL they are 24/7, in the reef they are on a wave timer.

For the most part, power heads don't respond well to a lot of start/stop/start. I think that turning them off at night would do nothing more than shorten their lifespan.
