Ruuining a perfectly good tank

Pictures are absolutely coming. My track record on this is... Sub-optimal, but I have been thinking about pulling the camera out again.

It looks OK right now. I bridged the two tanks together, cleaned out a lot of junk and switched out the circulation in the tank on the right for a gyre (which is fun).
Until I get the camera out (which based upon my past performance could be at any time between now and when the sun cools), you shall just have to imagine how awesome it is.

The bridge is just a big U going up and over, so short of pointing a power head directly up into it, there's really no way that any amount of flow in one tank would affect the other.

I left it in there for about a month before he figured it out. Nothing really beyond putting it there and waiting.

Quick update, because why not...
After a hair algae outbreak and a few basement troubles I ended up doing a tear down of the twin tanks to hit the big reset button (everything still lives - magnifica is fine, 10 year old GBTA's still looking good - just living in horse troughs for a few months).
Everything has been re-located for about 2 weeks now, and I should have the re-shuffle complete in another few days - just making up 180 gallons of RODI, which always seems to take several days longer than it should.
Rather than doing two reef tanks this time, I'm doing one reef (anemones and zooanthids - they both seem to like me), and one jawfish tank.
The jawfish tank will be completely bare - just 6-8 inches of sand and rubble and that's it. I haven't seen them do that well in mixed tanks with poor lines of sight, and I have wanted to dedicate a decent-sized tank just for them for a few years now.
We shall see how well that works out - pictures may or not follow. I did get a new camera so it's possible.

Kinda looks like a big glass box with 5-8" of sand right now. It really isn't going to be that exciting until I find jawfish, and I'm not sure how long that could take at this time of year.
I will post some pictures once I get current livestock back, but the sandy tank is pretty much exactly that right now.
