RW4 or RW8?

Okay gang,

Looking to pick up some circulation in the tank without increasing the return pump volume. I have been looking at the Jebao RW4 and RW8. Trying to decide which will be most appropriate for my tank. The tank is 30"long by 24"high by 24"deep. My thoughts are to have 2 of whichever pump I decide on, one on each side of the tank.
For those who have these pumps, which do you feel will be more appropriate for the tank without blowing the sand and tank inhabitants all around. Tank has a couple SPS, an LPS, several zooanthids, some mushrooms and a few fish. I doubt that I will be doing too many, if any, more SPS, probably lean more toward the soft corals and zooanthids.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin

2 RW-8's and a JBWave controller (aftermarket add on) will give you amazing flexibility and control. My favorite setting completely changes the wave pattern in the tank every 10 minutes.

The 4's would be plenty when brand new, but the jebao's do seem to loose a little punch as they age, so the 8's are the ticket for your tank footprint. They also seem to push a little broader wave than the 4's which pushes a tighter jet.

(For reference, I'm running two 4's on a 34x20x19 and one RW-4 in my Biocube 29)

Get the RW-8, I have both models and there is a big difference between the two. The RW-4 is weak and the magnet placement isn't as strong either. Used in a 90 gal 48x18x24.

My experience with Jaebo leads to recommending anything but Jaebo.
