Sacramento water quality?

IMO it could be a lot worse. I moved from the Austin area (TX) about a year ago and my rodi cartridges only lasted about 3 months before the tdi started creeping up. Here in the Sacramento area my tdi is still 0 and I've been using it for about 9 months now. It's pretty good. Also, i don't think they use choramines here to sanitize the water. That changes filtration a lot.

They dont use cholamine here at least not the last time i tested. Yes the water is good overall, but if they are testing stuff in the water and recommended to stop using it? Doesnt seem like a good idea

The issue in Fair Oaks, Carmichael, and Citrus Heights to name a few area are is not what the Sacramento Water District is doing fortunately. Our issue is the Aerojet plum that is directly under us and in the well water unfortunately. There are a few in the Carmichael that have shut their aquariums down because (or what I believe) is the chemicals from the well water in the plum and those chemicals pass through the RO/DI unit easily because the units are not set up to remove those toxins.

Yep, just ask greenhead... He had a hell of a time with the water conditions in Carmichael.
