A lot of people ask why my RC name is ReefWidowed, if I have a tank too. Well, I initially got onto RC just in case his (smmscott)tank took a nose dive while he was out of town at work.
And then we went to Salty Critter for the 1st time to pick up our live rock and I fell in love with my first saltwater fish and I was hooked on the hobby too.
This morning when the lights came on, my female bird wrasse was nowhere to be found.
She was one of our very first fish, and was already an adult when we got her, but I'm still pretty bummed about it.
We noticed last week that she was starting to "look old" and thought maybe she just needed some extra lovin via mysis.
We're pretty sure that the clowns burried her in their anemone
In some ways it's good....we can now have shrimp in the tank again to help control aptasia/asternia stars
We went out to Salty to see if there was something to make me feel better, but I was actually really disappointed for the first time in a really long time. With the exception of catching up with Shawn, it was kind of a bust...everything I wanted was NFS.....lame
We tried Hector's just because it had been a long time, and I found a little perc to replace the mate of mine from Phishy's...it's not nearly as brightly colored, but the 2 of them were already friends before it was in the water....they haven't left eachother's side yet.
