i just got these about 4 days ago and am now thinking about getting them an anemone. i read that the Stichtodactyla hadoni (carpet) is a good candidate and long tentacles are good but was wondering about BTA's? the tank they are in is a 29 aga.

any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same pair in a tank with a blue haddoni and 2 Rbta. The carpet is what you would find them in in the wild, but they will host a rbta atleast mine did. Nice pair BTW

I wouldn't go with a carpet anemone. They are the most notorious for fish eating even though any anemone can do it. I would stick with a BTA and also you need to make sure you have the room in your tank. If your tank is packed with corals you really might want to hold off on an anemone that will grow faster then you think and move around killing your corals.

Personly i think they like the carpet more only because i had them w/ the rbta foir about 2.5 yrs and was serching for a healthy carpet. When i found my haddoni and introduced it it was like they went nuts. I mean they are agressive w/ the anemone to begin w/ so it was a bit scary to watch them. I almost thought that the anem, one had ate my female but she was tucked inthere tight.
Truly it all depends on what you are doing w/ your reef? If it just the clowns and anemone and the tank is mature enough for a carpet why not? If you plan on doiing a mixed reef well who am i to say i have 2 rbta and a haddoni in a 465 ow w/ alot of coral!! Ill try to post a pic soon.

Their mouths are open. Watch out for health problems to come :(

Get some water mixing for a QT at SG of 1.009, get copper.
