I have used krylon fusion in the past to paint overflows, and such in the tank, but i cant find it anymore. The only thing i can find around here is made by rustoleum, is called special plastic, and im not sure if its safe or not. Has anyone used this before?

I used the Rustoleum spray paint for plastic (painted my acrylic overflow) and I can vouch for it 100% that it IS OKAY. I've had it in the tank for approx 2 months now.

BTW, I let mine dry for about 3 days before I used it in the tank. For acrylic, I had to do 3 recoats :)

hope that helped

What makes the paint safe? Is there something is has to not have? I know that is what it is with the pvc glue, there is a special chemical it can't have (can't remember it off the top of my head). But I want to paint my returns, so krylon fusion and rustoleum plastic paint is safe for reefs, any others?

Wouldn't there be a problem with taking off the paint when you scrape off coralline algae? If the paint got scratched and partially peeled the tank would end up looking kinda bad.
