Safe to put Potter's angel with flame angel?

Is it safe to put a potter's angel with a flame angel in the same tank?

That's going to depend on the size of your tank and the individual personality of the angels. Sometimes it works others not so much..

If your tank is large enough it should be fine. I had a potters, flame angel, and coral beauty in a 110 for an extended period of time. After the initial chasing they ignored each other.

I would not do that in anything under a 75 probably, and I would recommend using an acclimation box.

I've been told it's best to introduce them at the same time. If you already have one maybe either take both out for quarantine and put into main tank at same time or move some stuff around so they each have to establish territories at the same time.

I don't think it will work. There is a good chance that the stronger fish will relentlessly chase and nip the weaker one. Imagine that you stuck in a yellow school bus (The bus never reach the school at all, it keep on moving from morning till the evening) with a bigger kid that like to poke you with a stick. Kick you once or twice per hour. Then you fall to sleep crying at night. Then in the morning, you stuck on that bus with same mean kid again. And that will go one for the rest of your life.

Ya, I did this combo along with a coral beauty and a bicolor in my 187 gallon and had no problems at all, but in a 55 it would be a war zone...

When I had a 75 I initially had a coral beauty. I then tried to add a flame, it didnt work. The CB tried to kill the flame and was truly relentless. Needless to say I removed the flame and added it to another aquarium. A week later I tried again, this time with a cherub angel. Apparently the CB did not view the cherub as a threat and has never bothered it. Today the CB, cherub, and a flame/rusty hybrid all live together inside a 120. Basically if you have extra tanks to put a fish in if it doesnt work I would try, if you only have one tank I would not try it.

based on personal experience. very very high risk.
i add a potter into my 200g where already have a flame. the flame went crazy, very crazy.
within 30 min i have to get him out back to the qt. he died 3 days later

Against my better judgement I added two at the same time in a 55..a coral beauty and a midnight. The coral would occasionally (rarely) tell the midnight who's boss, but they were ok most of the time..feeding, grazing.
