safe to use dasani water for sps?

Anyone using it to change or top up water..

Heard that it contain mag sulphate...

Wondering is it safe for sps?

Bottled water would not be recommended for sensitive coral. They do RO the water, but then put mag sulfate, potassium chloride, and salt back in. The don't state the levels, but the ratios are going to be much different than salt water. I would just save up and buy an RO. It would be more cost effective in the long run

Wow, that's some expensive top off. Do you get it for free or something? Are you asking the question because you read that someone else is doing it? Or are you wanting to do it?

I don't know what else is in that water but I could imagine that there are other minerals that are added that wouldn't be "reef safe"

I use Walmart distilled water to top of and change my water. No issues to date.
