Safety Connector

I have recently rigged the safety connector to a single 6101. I have it connected to a 12v / 4AH Lead acid battery.
However, it isn't working. The controller remains lit but there is no power to the pump. Do I need a bigger (AH) battery or is it something else?

4AH is small, but I would think it would work. How long did you wait? Mine goes into feed mode when it switches to battery. Dont know why, but it does every time. Which LEDs are on? Once the feed timer expires, it starts running.

Roger - I have just tried it without the controller and it worked. Is there a way to keep the controller on and use battery back up.

Scott - The controller 'resets' (as we discussed in a previous thread) when the battery kicks in. I didn't notice the food timer but will try again and get back to you.

Thanks for your help guys!

It would seem that it was the food timer coming on - thanks Scott!
Now, my next problem is that the controller is reseting so it trips to sequential, 0.2-12hrs. Seeing as I have only got one battery back up and 2 pumps it is turning on the pump which isn't backed up. I was really hoping the battery back-up would stop the resetting as it is sooo annoying (particularly when you have 3 - 4 power outs every week like here in Thailand.)
I will have to swap the battery back up to the other pump unless anyone has a better suggestion?

That is really weird on your controller. Mine has never reset to default settings in the ~ 2 years I've been running it.

Matt,

I am not sure why you are having this problem, I would contact your dealer or Tunze in Germany. I will also let them know and see if I can get an answer.
