It's been in the tank for a couple of weeks , the tank has been running for 6months or so. We upgraded the tank as we started with a Kent 90ltr for three years so transferred everything into the aqua one.
We know our LFS really well and watch the saffron goby feeding there so he was healthy.
But since being in our tank he's not eating at all and is getting skinnier by the day
He's been in the tank for a couple of weeks and the tank has been running for 6 months or so . This isn't our first tank as we have upgraded to a much bigger tank.
I know that he was feeding in our LFS as we did witness this before purchasing . Since he been in our tank he's just not feeding at all . I tried frozen brine shrimp , live brine shrimp flakes etc what else can I do ?
Well basically my upgraded tank has been running for six months and have a couple of fish . The goby hasn't been bullied or anything since we got him 2 weeks ago but straight away he's not been eating. I witnessed him eating at our LFS so he was well there I just can't seem to get him to eat . I've tried live brine shrimp, frozen brine shrimp and marine flakes I've even tried direct feeding him but at no end .
He is just getting skinnier by the day and he's such a cool fish as they look kind of stuck up lol so we gave him a posh name (jiles) which fits his personality any ideas on what else to try.
Thanks
Michelle
Well he was added to the tank two weeks ago , and since adding him he's just stopped eating. He was eating at our LFS as we watched him before purchasing. So not sure what's up he was excepted by other fish a pair of minstrel clowns was all we had at the time I now have a baby hippo tang that is always together with the clowns . And a baby white Lou lion fish I think that's what it is called .
I've tried him on live brine shrimp, frozen brine shrimp , and marine flakes.
I'm going to try mysis see if he eats that but I'm not holding my breath .
Don't know what else to try he's fading away
Ok well basically we've upgraded our tank and it's been running a couple of months now I have two minstrel clowns , then we got the saffron goby they have been fine with him he still swims about and perched in his little spot but he won't feed at all.
I've tried live brine shrimp, frozen brine shrimp and marine flake so far and he has no interest. I witnessed him feeding at my LFS so he was all good .
I have no idea why he isn't feeding but I'm getting a little worried as he is getting skinnier by the day .
Any ideas would be much appreciated
Try the small .5 mm NLS pellets. everything eats them. Well just about anyway they are readily available and fish love them. My male clown only eats the small ones and won't eat the 1 mm size. Sure you can grid them in a salt or pepper grinder if you can't find the .5 pellets.
