sailfin in a 125?

Wondering if this is a good fish in my 6 foot 125 i know that can reach pretty large sizes but would i be alright in my tank? Not goig to have any other tangs, right now i have a foxface and a bunch of little fish.

Mine started as a little bitty one and then outgrew a 90 and then a 180. It will outgrow a 125 for sure. The good news is that it took him about 6 years to outgrow each tank. I ended up giving him to a friend with a reef business and now he's in a great big system.

so they are slower growers? did you have it for 12 years (6 in each tank?) or 6 years total?

12 years, mine grew like a weed when he was small in the 90 and I had him for about 6 1/2 years in there. After about 4 years his growth slowed way down and I actually think he was stunted by being in a small tank. He started growing faster again in the 180 and was about 9 inches after 5 1/2 years in there. He started showing some of the pacing and aggression behaviors in my 180 when he got to that size and I simply couldn't afford to upgrade again so as much as it pained me I gave him up. Next to my last dog and my cat this is the longest I have had any pet and it was a tough decision to give him up but he is in a nicer home now. If you get a small one you could keep him for a while in a 125.

yeah just dont call them that, they hate it!
