I just got a sailfin tang and I would like to get a yellow tang will these tangs getalong or will they fight. allso the cant get him to eat any veggies . All he eats is krill or brine . He is in a 92 gal tank.

Thanks, kurt

Well since the sailfin tang is in a tank that is way too small, it is highly likely to be very aggressive towards any other tang.

Agreed with Steve, the sailfin can grow to over 14" long and high, and will outgrow your system. Adding another large fish is bad news, not to mention one from the same genus.

I don't think it is a good idea in a tank this size. In my 180 I have both of these tangs and they are best friends. The sailfin was in the tank for a few months before the yellow went in. The sailfin was 3 1/2 inches and the yellow was 5 1/2 inches. The yellow follows the sailfin constantly now, and they never fight. They are constantly swimming together.

It is a dicey proposition with another zebramosa tang but maybe a small blue. At some time you will have to upgrade your tank but they do grow slow. I have had my sailfin for 4 years and he has gone from around 3" to around 7" and my blue for a year and he has gone from around 2" to around 5". My naso has grown a little quicker but he is a larger top end fish.
