I got a South pacific sailfin that is about 2" in length. It doesnt seem to be eating the seaweed pieces that i put in there. But when i go to feed the madrin brine shrimp he eats some brine shrimp. Is this healthy or unhealthy that hes eating shrimp instead of seaweed. Any suggestions to get him to eat seaweed?

They will eat shrimp and other meaty foods...Try differeny colors of algae, my fish LOVE the purple..Maybe stick it in the rock, a more natural place for him to pick at

Also...Brine shrimp has no nutritional value at all...Fish will die if they live on this food alone.. Make sure you are using enriched Brine shrimp .Mysis is a better choice but fish need a variety...I have about 10 different frozen foods for my fishes:)

Mine took about about 2 weeks to eat from the veggie clip, as long the fish is eating should be fine. Mine loves the red algea and goes nut with mysys shrimp. Give it various types of food from flakes to frozen food and add vitimins like selcom.

I cannot get any of my fish to eat the red algae:confused: My Raccoon is a total pig and won't touch it:rolleyes:

That's funny. My saiflin did not eat the green at the beginning. I had to attach the two kinds at the same time to get it to eat it. Now goes after the two. Same with my cowfish (well he's a pig)
