Salinity Refractometer?

I bought a ATC Salinity Refractometer. is using Distilled Water an accurate way to calibrate?

It's one way.

MINE turned out to be 100% calibrated using 1.000 pure RODI water. Not all users report the same thing.

The only way to be sure is to pick up some 53mS calibration solution.

The instructions only mention Distilled Water. So it is possible to be inaccurate using Distilled Water?

You should use the Pinpoint solution. I don't know why the directions even say that. The Pinpoint solution is pretty cheap and you get a good amount. So you can calibrate it every month or so.
