Salt bag has hard bluish big clumps?

Is this contamination? I receive the bags with several others items including a missing nano pack of Zeovit in the same box? I've been using Tunze salt since July 2009 and I've never seen but nice white powder in these bags before.

Thanks for your quick response since I am currently making RO/Di for mixing.

I am not sure what would make it blue, it could clump from exposure to moisture but nothing in the salt should create a bluish color. If it is heavily clumped the main problem is the calcium and magnesium will form insoluble carbonates so your mixed water will have a low KH, magnesium and calcium. Was there a blue colored product in the box that may have leaked?

Roger,

There was a nano Zeovit trial pack that disappeared from the shipment and the box was replaced by UPS. Could the Zeovit have broke and saturated the salt and cause it to clump and turn blue? I'm calling the shipper now. Sounds like an unusable bag to me

It is possible, I could imagine it clumping from just moisture in the air, but turning blue I don't have an answer for. Is this zeovit product blue in color?

Roger,
To be on the safe side MD will be shipping me new bags. I do not want to take a chance with my beautiful reef.
