salt creep

Ive noticed an insane amount of salt creep in my sump area...all over the PVC and cords, etc

is this something to stay on top of, or is it something to not be sweated?

if I understand correctly, I do NOT want it to fall into the water, right?

Who you callin a creep and I haven't been anywhere around your sump.








































It's ok to fall in the water you just wouldn't want it to fall directly on corals as it may burn them. It usually come from a fitting that isn't completely sealed or from splashing. It will conduct electricity so be careful.

I think lost marbles uses rainx to prevent this. but who knows, he may have been joking. he's known to do that from time to time though

all ofthe salt creep is happening in the area of my drain outlet and skimmer, so a high turbulence area

the splashing/misting theory seems to hold water

Splash gaurd, filter sock, sponge.

Best just to stop it from happening.
