Salt from TPP

Who needs salt? A couple of us are planning on stocking up at that pet place and I wanted to know if anyone else wanted to get it on it. I'm willing to fill in the gaps and I'm flexible as far as which reef salt.

I just picked TM for 49.99 at TFP. My old store sold the same bucket for 69.00... I love TFP for the dry goods, best prices around!!
 
I will be there as early as possible and be there at least through all the seminars. The tent sale and everything starts around 9? I will buy the salt buckets and you guys can buy what you'd like off me if that's cool with everyone. Al I will be paying for one of your buckets. I owe you at least that from the water.

I have been using red sea salt since day one. I am going to get another bucket of that. What is the sale again? Do you have to buy four or something? I will be up there around 9 as well, looking for a juvi 4" emperor angel. What is up with the tent sales and seminars???
 
Tent sales that I've been to in the past have had tons of returned stuff and things costumers brought in they didn't want any more. Used tanks, lighting, and equipment, some of it is broken, but to a DIYSer it is heaven.

If you begin to really get into the hobby at all Anthony Calfo and Julian Sprung are two names you can not get around. These two are some of the top leading authorities in the hobby and really know there stuff. I actually was considering driving two New York a couple months ago to listen to Anthony. Three months ago I bought one of Sprung's books after hearing about it non stop for a year.

The deal on the salt is buy 3 get one free. I'm pretty sure you will pay full price if you don't get four because I went there last year before I get involved in the club and bought a small bag by myself. I am glad I have met everyone this year.

I plan on a schedule something like Al's. In by 9 and out by noon. At least that's the plan. I'm in Pittsburgh right now, and plan on being home in time. So, if you could go ahead and get the salt, I'll get it from you, Jon - hopefully that morning. But later if we don't hook up. That would be a great fall back plan for me, in case my schedule gets messed up.

So is there anyway I could get in on the salt? I will be there hopefully by 9. I am very interested in the tent sale, could use a bigger QT tank and who knows what else. If I use red sea salt, is that a problem? I just hope they have some good angels up there, could use that 20% off livestock.

I was just looking online and would be intrested in trying out the Red Sea Coral Pro Salt.

I'm not sure I can make the sale but would be willing to split the buckets with you. They're 12.99 for a 55 gal bucket and $38.99 for the larger 175 gal bucket if you wouldn't mind picking them up.
 
hey Jon,

before you get too strung out on the bulk salt purchase, I'm pretty sure it's 4 buckets for the price of 3 of the same brand same size bucket-O-salt. I don't think its a mix and match of brands. some are 150g , 160g or 200g. and different brands.

do check the flyer for the brands participating, and sizes. and all must agree on the one brand and size to buy and split. It is a good deal. and some of the reps will be onsite in the store with extra discount coupons for some things. if you are buying anything, check the discount then find a rep to see ifhe has another coupon.

I should be there by 9 for the tent sale rush too. you got that right Jon, its DIYer Nurvana for misc. stuff we just might be able to fix or use somehow, someday. I've bought lots of old PC fixtures, working or not, and fixed them . odd chems, tubing, pumps, tanks, stuff like that . used, broken, but useful .

Like Eduoard Monet's " The Rag Picker", I love to Pick through the stuff!
 
Yeah I plan on buying 4 of which ever two brands we go with and then selling off the odd buckets. My brother will be setting up a new tank that I am buying him used from another reefer so he will need salt as well.

Craig(cdangel0) Red sea isn't one of the ones in the buy 3 get one free deal, but they may be 20% off. It looks as if I am going to have limited room in my vehicle, but let me see what I can do. PM me with your cell again just incase.

I am going to buy 8 buckets if I can be sure some people will be there to buy some. It will be over 200 so I have to make sure people will be buying some and soon after I purchase. If you don't have my cell and/or I don't have yours PM me.

I've decided for the reef salt just to stay with the same company and get reef crystals.
