Jon -

Sorry - it's the auditor in me but:

$113.97 + $6.84 = $120.80 / 4 = $30.20 ea
$101.97 + $6.12 = $108.09 / 4 = $27.02 ea

D'oh! Yeah thats one of the many reasons why I left the comp sci major, too much math. I devided by 4 and then added the tax. Opps! Really sorry about that.

Glad to hear you got your emperor. I picked up a porky pine puffer for $10! He doesn't seem to be in the best condition, but I've seen a lot worst in the past. I also bought a tuxedo urchin, but I'm worried my acclimation for it might have been a bit fast.

Sorry, I have been close to buying another heater myself, but keep convincing myself that I will condense tanks soon and have extra. Condensing is a while off though. I have tons of freshwater HOB heaters, but they are worthless to ya.

I am going to try to go to Al's around noon tomorrow and pick up the salt. I hope not too many of you were expecting me to get it from his place bright and early the night after St. Patty's day.

I saw that puffer, he looked cool, weird but cool. I've always wanted a puffer or trigger, I hear they are very smart, probably smarter then angels. I think angels are easier to keep though, more colorful and less of a mess. I don't need a heater anymore, I consolidated myself, putting both angels in a 55g QT tank. Worked out, they get along fine. Just wish I could have thrown in that playful gray into the mix, but that might be a bit over kill, he probably woulda owned my angels too, he was decently sized.

Puffer fish are unbelievably smart. And as far as personalities there tail is expressive as anything showing when they are excited or scared, there huge colorful eye shift back and forth looking at you, and the way they hover around. Yeah I have always liked puffer fish. I had one solo in a brackish tank a long time ago, but left a window once for a little while and that was all it took.

The puffer you saw may have not been the one I brought home. My gf said there was three in the tank with it when she found them, so there was probably that many when you walked by. There was another puffer by itself which looked more like a burrfish with a more boxed appearance. Species such as that one are often harder to acclimate to the home aquarium and usually refuse food.

I have a question should they have charged tax on my sub-total or tax on the actual total after discounts. I thought you only paid taxes on the price you paid...
