i have two salt meters and im gettin two different reads corallife is at 23 and the instant ocean is at 28 which one has a better reading

If you take your hydrometer and compare it to a properly calibrated refractometer from a LFS you can put a mark on your hydrometer where you want your salinity at. Make sure all bubbles are off the swing arm.

Very good idea!

also make sure to keep it nice and rinsed out. i use a freshwater vinegar solution and shake it up real good and rinse it. it reads right on with my refractometer
