Salt Mix waiting period.

What do you reccomend would be the minimum amount of time to wait before adding a new salt mix to your tank?
After all parameters are checked out OK ofcourse.

why is this? i usually wait about 3-4 hours. i know i've heard the 24hour rule before but i dont really understand is. Is this so all the salt absorbs in the water?

this is so that the salt water has a chance to "level" out.. alot of time the ph is not stable foor at least 24 hours...

hehe...i usually add it right away into the sump....5g vs. 95g...not much of a pH spike there, especially if i add it over a 5-10 minute period

I know im supposed to wait 24 hours but I usually only wait a couple hours once it is crystal clear

I think the salt brand has a lot to do with time. I add it whenever the ph and temp match my tank. Takes about 4-5 hours.
