salt order update?

Could we get an update on the SeaChem salt order? I'm starting to run low here, and checking my checkbook, it looks like I paid over a month ago. I spoke to Mel at the last meeting, and it seems there was a shipping miscalculation. Has that been resolved? Is the salt on its way? Thanks.

I have nothing to do with the order except that it was going to be delivered to my work addresss. I contacted Bob with Premium Aquatics to arrange the drop off. Instead of shipping it He is bringing the salt himself next Sat.. It will be delivered to my house and will be ready to be picked up Sat afternoon.

I don't think it will be a semi because the PA guys are delivering it themselves.

I talked to Matt (who has been checking on this over and over btw) and since they could not get the shipping issue resolved it sounds like they have decided to just go ahead and drive it down themselves.

It's pretty great actually...when you think about it. They quoted us a price and are totally sticking to it even though it's being a PITA for them.

Thanks for updating Mel and Art. I actually didn't know anything until Friday myself--although I wanted to update our thread, the best I could have done was "We're working on it" ...which I'm sure everyone already knows (I need this salt too and have $$ tied up in it as well).

They initially couldn't give me a ship date (ok, I'll call back later), then when they removed our money from my account THAT DAY, I called back a few days later (thinking that the order must be moving along) and they couldn't even confirm that we were going to get the already agreed-upon terms. I called again and got someone who didn't know about the order, but Bob got back to me and said they were planning on shipping it themselves since we didn't meet the drop-ship requirements and that he needed to speak with someone about the delivery location (Art).

Although I'm a little disappointed in PA for the confusion we've been through, I do applaud them for sticking to their word. If we can get the funds together next time for 3 pallets (collection of money is always going to eat a little time on orders too large to pay up-front), then they can drop ship and hopefully avoid extra charges and delays.
