Salt Question

What is the best way to change brands of salt mix? I am using TMP in my 120 with no problems other than cost. Will be upgrading to a 180 and would like to switch to maybe to reefcrystals to cut down on cost of water changes. Would it be ok to use most of my water which is a TMP mix from my 120 and use a reefcrystal mix for the remaining water?

No problem. Just start using ReefCrystals now for water changes if you are out of TMP. Otherwise make sure you mix the new saltwater for several days before adding it to the stuff from the 120 to make sure the O2 in the new stuff is adequate.

No algae problems thats what I was told might happen.

Changing from one good salt to another good salt will not cause algae problems
