Salt Question

Does any one know if it is bad to use hot water to dissolve the salt I use to make fresh water for my tank.

I wouldnt make all the water hot, just the first cup or two to dissolve the salt then add cool water and let sit to room temp.

Thanks!

I'd stick to cold water. At the very least your water heater has sacrificial zinc anodes in it that prevent corrosion of the heater and will also add zinc to your hot water. You don't want that zinc in your tank ;)
