Salt time?

Does anyone else need salt in the very near future? I do.

I know Art doesn't. Anyone else? Bueller?

Even though I'm still good for salt, I'm in for 2 depending on what brand is going to be ordered.

If you order Dr. Foster Smith there is no upcharge for shipping the extra weight and Reef Crystals are still on sale.

Seriously...I just pretended to buy 48 buckets of Reef Crystals salt and it only charged me $18 shipping!

Do you guys want to get that brand of salt? I have no idea if it's a good one or not. Anyone have anything to say?

i need to order 2 buckets for don.. he let me borrow 2, and its wayyy past time for him to get em back.. i need a few for myself, but doubt i can afford em.. i will be watching for prices, and how long will it be till order time?

Well I hope it will be soon, otherwise I'm going to order them myself.

But, now that I think about it...there's really not much of an incentive to order these as a club, is there? I mean...the cost difference on shipping is nothing I believe. I'm going to get quite a few by myself. Anybody know what the benefit would be to getting this as a club rather than individually?

Only if there is a member that we want to punish:lol: then we could have them agree to hold them at their house. This way they would have to load and unload and move them around until everyone that ordered eventually decides to come and get them. Then they would have to store the rest or somehow get them over to Mel's house so she could do the same thing with them there. Other than that, it would be better if everyone just ordered their own! I'm ordering mine today while it's still on sale.

The club could buy a few at that price to have on hand if the BOD thinks that is a good idea.:bum:

I, too, have been ordering my own as it is easier for all and I've gotten to where I despise group orders.

Good idea Art...I'll talk to Matt.

Also...that's a pretty funny hypothetical story you've got there Art.

Dave, is that what you use?

Skwirl, I dont need salt!!! I have 1 or 2 buckets still and I'm not supporting a 300 but a 30 so 7g bi-weekly water changes will allow my salt to last until the next order, or maybe the one after that.

Is your tank set up yet? I gotta come see it if it is.

Pet Solutions has matched the shipping deal and all of Dr. Foster/Smith prices. They even beat DFS price on Red Sea Coral Pro salt, which is my next trial salt. Reef Crystals are good, I've used them a few times, but I generally mix salts to offset shortcomings in some.

Dave

yea!!! its running.. and doing well.. got 3 fish so far. sold the mr2 and bought a needlewheel skimmer that is huge. you should see it..

I did, at the CR. Your right, that thing is HUGE. Just what the heck is it?

is an aquaeuro classic 400.. i got it at reefnut dot com. that thing skims like crazy, and was only $236+shipping. they are new, and im sure they will go up in price before long, because it seems crazy you could get a skimmer that does that well, for that price...
the acrylic would cost that much alone. without the 3 pumps..
