What kind of salt is everyone been using? I've been using Oceanic. Is that good salt or should I upgrade and go to Tropic Marin Pro Reef?

I used Instant Ocean (regular) for 20 years then moved to Reef Crystals a few years ago. Mainly because it's what was cheap and available locally to start with, now I get the 160 gal. bucket from F&S shipping free for $40 so it's still my choice. Just like anyhting else in the industry, some love it some hate it, some could care less. It's your money, your tank, and it's all basically the same stuff when you get past the labels and dollars.

I used the tropic marin pro reef salt in my new setup. I can't say its better or worse that the Red Sea stuff i used to use. I bought it because its supposed to be much better of a formulation for a reef. I personally like it. All my levels are in check and my calcuim is 500 with no additives.

Ya, same here. Calcium is always from 480 to 500 with weekly 5 gal. water changes and all other parameters are never a problem.

Yea, I've been reading up on all Coralkillers latest antics, nothin new, still killin. His new LFS is gonna love him.
