What type of salt do you guys use for your SH tanks? I used tropic marine last time I made water. Seemed ok, but I was just wondering what the vas majority uses

It doesn't really matter as they all will work.
I just us I.O. because of price and availability.

will that be ok with zoos, sofites, and corals like that

All salts that are sold for reef tanks will work, and that includes I.O.
People have individual preferences based on their own experiences but all reef salts have people using them successfully or they would no longer be for sale.
For that matter, I even mix in some of my home made salt with I.O. and still have no problems.

I also use IO for my reef tanks (new to SH) and the only downfall is low calcium content. Just another addative to my tanks with SPS/LPS, not a problem for a SH species tank (i dont think, again, SH rookie here). I find Instant Ocean the cheaper way to go, and as said above, available everywhere.

I can get IO cheap from a LFS, so maybe I will try it out.
