Saltwater forums?

Why sad? Lol you wouldn't go to a Ford dealership, and ask them where a Chevy dealer may be located lol. You have pm.

Im not doing this to **** anyone off! I love RC and URS. I have learned so much from everyone on here and have made some good friends. Im just looking outside of this little world I know.

I feel that its best not to get all information all in one place. I understand user agreements and such. They are only there to protect their income. Email me and i can share what i check out. Do not PM me please as per RC TOS. My Email is jason.netzmans@gmail.com. This is a great forum just not the only good one.

I think we can mention other forums. The problem arises from posting a (direct) link to them.

That being said, I personally and sincerely don't believe there's any other English speaking public websites that can compare to RC for reef aquarium related information.

Now... if you want information on a certain topic (take breeding marine ornamentals for example) there are other certain places that excel in a particular reef aquarium related subject.....

but for overall general reefkeeping information this is the best IMHO.

And thats fine! I agree. There is so much on here. Im just the type that looks all over.

It is kinda funny story, i decided to just try setting up a saltwater tank 3 yrs ago just to keep a couple of clownfish. I began to google info. and signed on to a forum called ????? they got me started for my first 2 yrs, but there was only like one other local from rochester. The site was great and the people even more so. They always had contests for vids,pics,ect.. to win some nice prizes like skimmers,mp40w, and i won a shirt and stickers once. lol

that site is still great but..

Then one day at the LFS i heard of URS on RC. Knowing it was against the religion of my other forum i ventured into rc and urs and got sucked in.
I had my tank for 2 yrs and seriously thought i was like one of the few people to have saltwater in this area. lol little did i know they live all around me with insane setups. Well from a couple clownfish i now have a sps dominant.

I tried to get the rochester guy to jump ship but i do not think he did.
I still have never posted outside URS on RC.

if you want the name of the site pm me

There are countless reef sites. RC has the largest source of info, but overtime others have grown considerably. Each has it's specific specialties.

Gary, you'll be amazed, the modern marvel of the computer allows one to click on another site just as easy as any RC subforum, it's requires no additional effort!

Within a half-hours time I often will visit 6-7 separate sites, RC is definitely one of them, it's a must go to for me.

I don't think that's a fair comparison. We are talking about sharing information on a hobby we all love, not buying a car from a competitor. I think a better comparison would be going into ARC and asking were Saltwater Paradise is. Which I don't think anyone at ARC would have a problem telling you.

But for the sake of being banned on RC I will not post any of the other sites I visit. Shoot me an email and I will tell you. talon4x4@hotmail.com

very interesting

very interesting

I just did a headcount on some other forums right now and found something that surprised me:

there are almost as many people logged onto this URS Forum right now as there are people logged onto certain other ENTIRE saltwater websites! :eek2:
