Saltwater Safe Epoxy

It's in the title. I'm building some overflows similar to the Ghost Overflows by Reef Savvy. I purchased some magnets and I'm planning to counter sink them into the acrylic. I'm trying to ensure that I don't have any issues with chemicals leaching.

I *Think* most epoxy sold at Home Depot etc will be fine but I'd like to know from those that have used some in their tanks.

Ive always had success with jb waterweld and the cheaper off brand at HD or Lowes.

Water Weld? HOw lond does it take to 'set'? Could it be used for fragging?

Using water weld do you have to turn your skimmer off ?

It sets in about 5 minutes. You definitely need to turn off the skimmer for a few days.

Sets pretty quickly. I use it for fragging all the time. Works great with super glue gel. Use some gel then epoxy more gel . Sticks very well this way.


Also, I've never had to turn my skimmer off but I usually only use small amounts. If you use a large amount it will make your skimmer overflow.
