Sand Bed

I recently just moved my 120 gallon to my new house. It has been running for 3 months now and everything is doing great. However, I added new sand but I didnt add enough would it be possible to just add more by just dropping it in or is there a trick to it?

I moved my whole tank at one point and added all new live sand with no issues. However I think it depends on your beneficial filtration and the amount of rock you have.
If I were you I would sprinkle sand on the bed over the course of a week or two or put sand on one side of the tank and slowly make your way over over the course of a few days.

Get some panty hose and fill with the new sand.then put the panty hose into the tank and lower it to the bottom and slowly let the sand out.I did this with about 30 lbs of sand and didnt stir up anything.

I was going to suggest putting the sand in a plastic "fish bag" and slowly pouring it out on the bottom of the tank. You basically just want to avoid pour sand through the water column...unless you want your tank to look like 120 gallons of milk. ;)

Ditto on the pvc. You can put the sand exactly where you want it. I mix the old and new sand together a bit with my fingers once it's in.
