sand blowing in tank

I have a 75 with a pretty strong Iwaki pump (either 840 or 960 gph.) The flow is so strong that it is blowing my sand onto the LR. About the only thing I can think of to stop this is to put some LR on top of the point where the water is bouncing off the sand. I have tried changing the angle and such, but it just changes where the sand gets blown.

One thought I had was to buy some anchor or hammer coral and set it where the strong currents are....... but my tank is only about 2 weeks old and i doubt it is ready for the coral.

Any other ideas? Thx.

you can try splittng the return so that the tream of water does not shoot in one direction. also cuts the intensity of the return down
