I am wanting to use some sand that i had in an african cichlid tank. But I'm worried it may be contaminated. I had used the wrong silicone to glue my rocks together, while none of the silicone actually was on the sand I don't know if the chemicals that seeped into the water would still be present on the sand. Would it be safe to use in my new marine tank? or any ideas to make it safe
