Sand Dollar's 125gal: the return

Wow good to see an old timer back here with a tank. Can't wait to see what you do with this system. You've got some great equipment selection. Look forward to an update.

Sorry, not much of an update. Tank is doing well...params are steady, although frags are small and not sucking up too much CaCO3 out of the water.

Sadly, I lost some more fish to ick. The lone survivor is the vlamngi tang. He was the only one that I was able to catch and do a couple freshwater dips on. I do need to get some more fish to dirty up the tank, just a little disheartened and gun shy by the loss of the other guys.

Here's a pic from yesterday with the frags hanging out at the bottom of the display. Not mounting anything just yet.

Good looking setup Rich! you should showoff the QT setup too

Thanks Bryan! Still in process...I need another strong guy to help move it from the garage into the reef room. The sump came in a couple weeks ago.

Ha! Old timer:hmm5: Thanks Sahin...glad to see you on board.

I know it's not much of an update. I'm looking to get a decent camera, for now I'm stuck with a Samsung galaxy 5.

Thanks for the update. Sorry about the losses.
I see a couple frags in there. That's good.
This scape will look fantastic when it has corals all over it.
Looking forward to it! :)

Looks great, love the vertex inspired stand.

I think the last thing that would really bring the setup home externally is some wire management to hide the cords a little better. I love the wall of electronics for it too!

Thanks Rakie, I find cable management challenging. I was happy just to be able to hide the bulk of the rats nest behind the equipment board.

Also, I forgot to log into the thread that I had made an addition of Algae Barns 5280 Pods and some phytoplankton on 9/23/2016, and a week later there was logarithmic population explosion resulting in major cloudiness. Eventually the cloudiness subsided within a couple weeks.
