I was wondering if anyone has about 35-45lbs of save, dry or live? I've read posts about using playsand from lowes and it being ok. I know toysrus also carries sterilized silica sand. I am just unsure of how safe it is? will i need to do lots of rinsing or waiting before i use it. Anyways if someone could let me know, i'd greatly appreciate it. This will be a DSB of 3in or so, would this make a difference?

Thanx in advance.

Ha, hey there sweetheart. on the back burner for the time being, i landed a job at a brokers office, its really good money. None the less it will happen sooner or later... i'd say w/ in the next 4-5yrs.

using the lowe's quickcrete sand here. so are several other on here. don't know about the sterilized stuff, but the lowes quickcrete will be fine. rinse it till the water in the bucket is pretty clear - i don't think it ever gets perfectly clear!

i just used regular water, but i live on well water!

For the amount of water it will take to rinse it, i highly doubt people are using RO water to rinse it. You aren't letting the sand SOAK in the water, just rinsing and draining, so i don't see any problems.
