Sand in Canada

Hey Guys I'm hoping one of the fellow Canadian members can suggest a good place to buy some cheap sand for my 90g. I have had my fill of looking for southdoun/yardright/oldcastle . Unless of course someone actually knows a location.

Otherwise suggestions on lfs brands would be appreciated as well

Thanks megalodon I actually just ordered a whole bunch of stuff from them. I also should have mentioned I live in the GTA. shipping substrate from JL is just too much for me. Do you know any places like home depot walmart zellers? where I can buy a generic arganite sand?

you won't find usable sand at HD, Wally, or zellers. Your best bet would be to ask on the local forum, there are usually guys who have left overs and give good deals.

Some people use bomix play sand, the white stuff. Available sometimes at Rona. Reviews on using it is mixed though. Some like it some don't. Mayy have to call Rona to find out.

not canadian but you can use cheap play sand you can find at most home improvment places. i have and so have many others with no problems. it is silica, but like i said, many people use it with no problems, its about 2.50 american

you might want to try north America fish at Kingston road and birchmount ave. they sell live sand.... and other sands....
