Sand or Crushed coral for O.S.

What is the best kind of subtrate for an O.S. I remember Dr. ROy saying that they don't actually burrow in sand and to use gravel and LR rubble. Does "grave" mean crushed coral like that by Carib Sea? I had planned on getting the Carbi Sea Sea Flor (1-2mm) but then read that post. I think the crushed coral is like 2-5mm.

Any recommendations?

Either/or. I would recommend the smaller because there is less space between the grains for uneaten bits of food to fal into. You can also ad a couple hand fulls of larger stuff to the top so that the mantis will have the material should it want it for building a burrow.
