Sand purchase

Not yet - I might give my LFS a call a little later. I'm sure that if he had heard from them they would have notified me. So - we'll just have to sit tight for a bit longer :).
 
Can we add this sand to a tank already running? With fish, etc? I remember trying it once but it got pretty cloudy for the poor fish. :fun5:

Ok so I just got done looking at your build thread. Very impressive.

Any word on the sand?

Remember I can stop through town on my way back to Atlanta on Tuesday the 30th if the sand comes in before then.

Hey Andy - no but I am hopeful that I will hear tomorrow. Jennifer at FAOIS called them on I think it was Friday AM (local rep) and they were going to call the manufacturer. I'm really hopeful tomorrow we'll get a date.

Carol, any news? :confused: I am hoping you are going to surprise me. :rollface:

On another note, are there any fish stores that carry lock line in the area? I need 4 1/2" mail NPT adapters, about a foot or so of line, and some assorted nozzels.

Well no news yet, but I email FAOIS and they are putting a call into their supplier and see if they can get a date. I'm not in a hurry for the sand but I know some of you are so I'm trying to get a date.

It really isn't looking good for you gannarella, and as promised I'll refund your deposit. I really thought it would arrive this week but I'm guessing they are a little overwhelmed with the order. Let me know how you want your money refunded. I'm truly sorry I couldn't fulfill your order - but we knew it was going to be tight.

That said - I'm very hopeful for a date of delivery today - thinking either next week or the week after. This is a massive amount of sand!

Thanks everyone for your patience - sand party within the next week or so!
 
Carol, I am going to keep my order and if it comes in late I will have my parents come and pick it up. They are coming to see me for Thanksgiving and said they will bring it with them for me. I hope this is OK. I will coordinate with you and them for pickup.

Sorry Mark - no word yet. I too am starting to get a little inpatient, would like just a date. We'll see this week and I'll keep my fingers crossed.
