Sand-sifter for my 30g Oceanic cube?

My sand has slowly gotten less and less white over the 11 months my tank has been running. I'd like to get a sand-sifting starfish of some kind for it.

I'm thinking that the Sand Sifting Sea Star sounds good. But I wonder if I have enough of a sandbed to support it.

Is this a good choice? Are there other better choices? What additional info is needed before making a selection?

Thanks.

I should have added in the original post:

I have several Nassarius and Cerith snails in addition to Nerite and Astreas as well.

if im not mistaken a jawfish will clean your sand quite well or the snails mentioned above. the stars a nice thought but i put one in my tank and it made it all of 12 hours before my hermits ate it. so if you got hermits then dont bother with a star.

orange diamond goby will sift all day if you have a fine sand, not coral gravel. Most entertaining fish I have ever owned!!!!
