Sand sifter suggestions?

I'm looking for some suggestions on a sand sifter for my sons 29 biocube. I have a diamond watchman goby in my 46 bowfront who is a complete workhorse. I love how active he is and how clean he keeps my sand bed and would really like to put something similar into his tank without going with the same fish as what's in the other tank if possible.

I have a horseshoe crab in my 125 gallon tank and she dose wonders for stirring the top 1/2" of sand around. Also she is really neat to watch, her name is dozer as in bulldozer because she pushes the sand around. But your tank might be a little to small for one.

in a 29 you are limited to snails and possibly a small sand sifting goby who will also eat frozen. that size tank cant supply enough food from the sand alone so that means sand sifting starfish are out of question and of course that horseshoe crab is out of the questions. frankly a horseshoe crab will starve in that guys 125 gallon as well.

You know that these guys get 2 ft long and need large sand zones, right? It's hardly suited for a nano tank.

+1 nassarius snails

I've also been happy with my fighting conch. The nassarius bury themselves in the sandbed all day and come out at night. I just have the small ones though. The conch is all over the place but periodically buries itself in the sand (every few days or so) and pops out leaving the sand immediately around bright white.

Yes I know this the way my tank is setup only about one square foot of sand is covered by live rock the rest of it is all open. Before it gets to be 6 inches across I'll probably upgrade to a much larger Aquarium. my dream aquarium would be 6' L x 6' W x 2' T Reef.

It will likely starve to death before it gets that large. They don't live long at all even when small in tanks that size

If you wish to get a fish for sand sifting your best choice in a tank that size would be a Rainfords or Hectors goby-but make it is eating before purchase.
If you just want an efficient way to clean the sand then go with several nassarius snails.
