Sand sifting gobies

Thinking about adding one to my tank..any ideas of good ones with good survival rates? Ones to stay away from? Also any better online stores to order from if I can't find one locally? I really don't like to order live goods online but think I may not have much of a choice.:)

I like orange spot gobies. I keep one in each of my six 125-gallon tanks to sift the sand and a single fish keeps the sand bed white. They work better than all the other sand sifting gobies I've tried, and after a little while eat frozen food like the other fish. The only downside to them is they really like to jump so you have to make sure there are no openings on the top of your tank.

i have 1 i call him a neon sand sifting goby he has a yellow head with a blue stripe and a light pink fin on top not sure of the real name but hes one of my favorites he keeps the bed very clean in my 120 my tops are opened and he hasn't jumped out yet hope he never does. He eats whatever i feed the tank brine mysis flake shrimp, and hes always cleaning the bed the only thing i dont like is he does spread sand all over the rock work.

I have a barred sleeper goby that sifts like crazy and eats all kinds of prepared foods ..had him two years in a open top tank never even looks like hed ever jump ...great fish .. jmo sean

see someone, a store owner, told me the gold bar sleeper goby is hard to keep alive and may starve in my tank. They had suggested a brown barred goby and I like them too but can't find one local. I had seen the white/ with gold stripe one in someones tank and I do like them and AT has it on the web site but was leary cause I really hate when stuff dies on me..kinda take it personally.

Also, I don't mind ordering online..but don't want to pay as much or more for shipping as I would for the fish..kind of defeats the purpose I think..unless someone is looking to order something and I can split it..ya know.

I have the barred (dragon) for over a year. He eats everything I put in the tank. He even eats hair algae. The only downside is they tend to float up when the sift and get sand all over the place unlike the sleepers that tend to stay on the bottom.

I really like the gold bar goby but was worried it would not eat prepared food..I thought the dragon goby was more a brackish fish.

The one you linked to is the one I was leaning towards but no one local carries them. I only recognized it as the brown barred goby. Would hate to pay that much shipping for one fish. Anyone looking to order from there anytime soon? jk
