Sand sizes

I have always had Bahamas oolite or Fiji pink sand but since my recent snorkel trip to the Bahamas and grand Turk I have noticed that the sand around the reefs looks more like the 0.5mm to 5.mm size grain for sand like carib sea sells. I was wondering since my fish live stock will be wrasses and gobies, will this be to big of a grain size or be good enough for that livestock. will they require the smaller grain size to survive.

I am no expert in this type of question but I think it is fine other then the sand sifting types of fish will require the small sand grain sizes
