Sand Storm

I have a 20G FOWLR. It had crushed coral in it, and I decided to scoop all of it out, and replace it with Live Sand. I think I have made a mistake and bought to fine of sand. I put the sand in and still 3 days later it looks terrible. Today I finaly decided to turn the flow back on in the tank to just try and move the water around. I also tried doing a 7 gallon water change today. Needed it anyways. How long should this take to settle? Or will it ever?

BTW No I dont have any fish in there.

It often takes a while for sand to settle. Maybe even a week. Do you have any live rock in there? Some bacterial action might help get the sand to settle.

Yeah, I do have my LR in there. Good to know that it could take longer. Thanks!

Yeah,mine took awhile to settle,just filtrate as normal.

Takes about a week to settel, you can put filter socks on to filter out the small particle once it settles

a Canister/power filter with filter floss in it will help move it along faster.
