What size sand grain and brand are you using in a sps dominate tank with moderate to high flow I'm torn between special grade carib sea and reef flakes I would love to hear what you use. I'm about to setup a 60 cube all sps. Thanks

I decided to use special grade with mine. So far I haven't noticed it moving at all. I'm using two tunze 6055 and an mp10.

I blended tropic eden Tonga pink sand and tropic eden reef flakes. No complaints.

Why even use sand in a SPS tank? Bare bottom gives you more room for corals!!����

I’m guessing because a lot of folks think bare bottom tanks look horrible and nothing like a decent reef.

I’ve never been that guy, but if you have nothing to contribute move on.

Blah blah. Don’t cry about it. Seriously though. They look good when corals grow out and start covering the bottom. Anyway sand is just more work. To each their own.
