can i have some pics of peoples tanks or just some advice, that have seio powerheads and where they place them, i have 4 1500's and only 2 are in there now and i cant seem to get my sand to stop movin around on the bottom, the powerheads are causing "sand drift piles" and keeping it suspended, cant see a whole lot floating around in the tank but a lot is settling on my ive rock, i moved all my rock around and got most of the sand off but it is settling back on it again. i am afraid to put the other 2 powerheads in. what do i do?

The same thing is ahppening to me in my nano becuse i put in another powerhead. I was told to buy a new one but im not sure about yours. Try posting this in anpther forum? Sorry i couldnt help much

Put them high up in the back corners and aim them at the Opposite corners. They will intersect in the middle, creating a less powerful direct flow and a more chaotic flow.

It is the problem with sand. You'll need to keep adjusting them for a while.

I have mine high up on the back and pointing toward the other side of tank like Anemonebuff, mine are a few inches below water top level so when remove water for change they are still submersed

I have my Tunze on the upper right side panel. I have two maxijet 1200's and a Penguin(300gph).

heres where i moved them to, sand still blowing and cycloning, and you can see on the sand how it is making it shallow in the middle, they are pushing the sand to the sides and towards the back, you can see that in the second pic u can see the sand floating in the second pic too

I would put one more on the left side panel facing the right panel. Then I would put the other on the right side panel facing the back left corner.

It will take some time for bacteria to grow on the sand and help it too stay put. You will experience some snad movement anyhow.

thanx, do you think i can get away with using only the 2? i will still be at about 30x turnover, will that be enough for SPS and LPS? the reason i ask is because a guy in my local reef club said he would trade me some corals for the other 2 1500's i have
