"sandbox" sand from tampa

so i am looking for some sand for a 180g "sandbox".

i recall way back about trips to the tampa area to pickup cheap sand somewhere.

does anyone know what i am talking about? if you can you send me some information.

Not sure about cheap sand, but I bought ultra white sand from lowes. It was the quikcrete brand.

Quikcrete. Last time I was there I didn't see the ultra white but I'd check several places.

Jay24k, I saw 2 types a Lowes: a premium grade all-purpose and then a "playground" sand (they were both tan in color). Which one did you get and did you rinse it before use?
Any problems with it that you've noticed?

I used the playground but it wasn't tan. You can always buy a bag and pile it up in a corner in your tank. See if you like the color. If not, spread it out and cover it with a whiter sand.
