Sapphire NanoSkimmer NC24

Any reviews on this skimmer. I read about people suggesting it, but couldn't find any reviews on it. Does anyone have a opinion other than it is good? Thanks:}

I have had this skimmer for about two weeks now. I’m very happy with it. It fits into the second chamber with plenty of room to spare. Initially I had an issue with micro bubbles but it resolved in about 1 ½ weeks as the skimmer broke in. Also the unit is quiet (again once broken in). I have the cup set fairly low so I get a wet skim (darkish yellow with some froth) and empty the cup everyday. I have a lightly stocked 24g NC (1 long nose hawkfish â€"œ 1 rainford’s gobby â€"œ 1 neon cleaner gobby) I have had the cup set higher and get a thicker browner froth. I will let it run for a few days and post pics of the skimate. Keep in mind I’m a newbie so I don’t have a great frame of reference and the tank itself is only 6 weeks old. The water is / appears clearer and all my tank readings are optimum.

I think nanotuners was looking at the unit (not sure). You might contact them to see if they have run tests on it. I haven't seen any reviews other than users. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the review. I think i am going to pick this one up. My big concern was that i don't want to modify my aquarium to much (take the hood off). I read about that i only need live rock to do my skimming, but i want a backup. Thanks
