Sarcophyton/toadstool question

I have a large Sarcophyton/toadstool it was growing on two rocks and one had to be moved, which pulled it off of the other one. That was about a week and half ago, it has not opened back. How long will it stay closed?

Shouldn't take much longer. As long as the coral is firm, standing up and holding some plumped up shape, you're fine. I've had them stay closed for weeks.

Good luck!

Mine is not doing well either, I moved it and ripped I ripped his foot just a little. he is still not looking good but he did have just a little bit of green to him today. I felt good about that until Cathy jus said if it is standing up ok it will be ok, mine is laying over. grrrrrrrrrrr

Just keep the water quality good and you should be fine, you can cut those things into many small pieces and they will all grow into new ones, so I wouldn't worry too much.
