Sargassum Trigger in a Reef Tank?

I could not resist a 3" Sargassum Trigger that i found at the local fish store. Does anybody have experience with this fish in a full blown reef, as mine has not had any incidents at alll so far. I just think this is the 2nd best looking trigger to the crosshatch. Any advice on this fish in a reef would be appreciated.

i think it will be primarily safe with corals and such..some specimens may eventually end up going after smaller fish.

I keep a pair of blue jaw triggers in my reef and they are model citizens. Saragassums are supposedly more reef safe than the blue jaws. Keep it fat and happy and you should be ok.

So far he is swimming back and forth at one end of the tank and my 8" broomtail wrasse doesnt bother him, but my 3" kole tang is all over him... He doesnt even fight back, i am happy that he seems very mellow but actively swims at the end of the tank back and forth biting the glass for the past 2 days since he was put in...

make sure he has hiding places these guys are ***** cats for sure.

I've had one in my 240 for over 6 months now. Just keep him well fed and he won't touch your corals. Mine even let's my cleaner shrimp clean him. Good fish.

So far he is fine, he eats well and love krill and squid. He lets the neon gobies clean him and lets my coral banded shrimp clean him as well...

but the question still stands... Does he have hiding places? They are very shy at first and need good hiding places if they are being picked on. It is very good he is eating and being cleaned.

Yes he has a house but the Kole Tang likes to kick him out of it every now and then... Thanks for the happy 100...

So far he doesnt like to swim to the opposite end of the tank, and likes to chill by his house which is by the rocks below the overflow...
