Even though there could have been a better showing ,

It was a good time the weather and few mosquitoes made it all the better.
I'm happy to say the party keg of heinekin didn't go to waste, nor did Bills great beer making skills

Nice to see everyone who made it to the BBQ. It was a nice 2 hour break.

In addition to being the oral genius we have come to know, Joe is also quite the meteorologist. At one point I felt a few rain drops and thought we were doomed. Then, Joe said we would only get a few drops and it would pass...and it did.

And, thanks to VinnyTheIcePick for cooking...

With the very foundation of this club starting to shake (lack of posts both here & on the private forum) attendance as some mtgs

Its a natural thing for club interests to ebb and flow over time (as in years) so there is a natural cycle to these things. Especially true during the warmer months.

This past weekend I had many things to get done on a personal level, had the wife rearrange her work schedule so I could get there on time, etc. and thats ok from a board members perspective. If I were just a member, I would have been home cutting the grass, putting another coat of paint on the porch and all other things yard work (so instead I had all the "fun" during the heat on sunday).

Summer meetings (June/ June) are something to reconsider for sure. The fishing center did just finish their fishing pier, so maybe next year it can be a BBQ and fishing day as well to hopefully get more people there.
There should be no fears about the club, lots in the works for NERAC III as well.

While it may be in true during the summer months for decline in posting, meetings, etc I think the overall club has changed from the past. I think there is to much commercial interests in the club and it is starting show. I think people are getting turned off by it. The club should be there for the hobbyist to meet each other, trade stories, frags, idea’s etc and not to peddle goods and commercial interests. Maybe we should start looking at that again and the club will turn back around. I know there are a lot of people who have left or a disgusted with the direction. Just my thoughts and observations but I know other people feel the same way.

I dont think its so much that although that issue has been beat to death already. I think its like anything else peoples priorities change. Alot of people have had issues with the club and some arent around anymore. Its there choice. I can only speak for myself for my own reasons but ive lost interest for various reasons. I used to blow off work to make meetings but i wont do that now. Its all about priorities and right now making meetings isnt one of them. I have too much going on. Maybe when things settle down ill be back. I dont know. It has nothing to do with the board members as i still stand behind them. They have done a good job to the best of there abilities.
