Saving Duncan Coral

So I had my tank crash a few months ago and lost a lot of corals. My only surviving coral is a single duncan with one small polyp. All of the green skill covering the skeleton is gone. Over the past several weeks (about 4 weeks) I have seen he polyp getting bigger and looking healthier. Do you think it is possible that the skin could regrow or would the duncan put out a new head and trunk with skin?
I guess what I'm asking is, is there any chance that this coral could regrow to be big and beautiful again?

Thanks.

I also had a major tank crash in my nano due to overfeeding by a caretaker while on vacation. Duncan's were only corals to survive. They are still doing fine, full polyp extension but also no green tissue on the skeleton yet. That crash was about 8 months ago. I haven't been putting in as much effort with that tank as I am working towards a 525gallon display at this time. So I haven't really been counting heads and such. If definitely isn't growing as quickly as it did. Will probably start feeding it some more to see if I can accelerate its growth when the new tank is up.
